Our Principles

Our principles are guided by legislation and guidance including: The Children Act 1989; The Care Standards Act 2000, The Care Planning, Placement and Review Regulations 2010 and the Fostering Service Regulations 2011.
The principles of the Children Act 1989 underpin our aims:
- the best interests of the young person are paramount,
- their rights and needs are safeguarded,
- and their families are consulted in aspects of their care.
